The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalms 23:1
Youssef is a bright and cheerful first grader living in a small farming village near the Nile River in Egypt. He shares his home with his mother and sister. After the loss of his father, Youssef’s mom has been doing her best to care for her two children on her own, but without steady work, life can be difficult.
Youssef loves going to school and is excited to be in first grade! One of his favorite things about school is spending time with his friends. He’s always ready to play and laugh, especially when there’s a soccer game happening! His favorite color is red, he loves cats, and chicken is his absolute favorite meal.
At home, Youssef helps his mom by picking up his toys and doing little things to help out — proud to be a good helper. One of his favorite Bible stories is the story of Moses — he loves hearing about all the adventures and how God was always with him.
Life in Egypt is full of family, good food, and time with friends, but for Christian families like Youssef’s, there can be extra challenges. Even so, Youssef finds comfort in knowing that God sees him, loves him, and will never leave him.
Sponsorship can make a meaningful difference in Youssef’s life — helping provide for his education, nutrition, and well-being, while reminding him that he is deeply loved.
