The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalms 23:1
Keroles is a bright and thoughtful 5th grader living in a village near the Nile River in Egypt. He lives with his mother and sister. Since losing his father, life hasn’t been easy for their family. His mother, who is currently unemployed, does her best to care for her children, but resources are limited and daily life can be a challenge.
Keroles loves school and is especially drawn to math — it’s his favorite subject! Arabic can be a bit tricky for him, but he continues to work hard and stay focused. His favorite color is blue, and he absolutely loves dogs. When it comes to food, nothing beats a warm plate of chicken with rice. After school, his favorite thing to do is play soccer with his friends.
At home, Keroles helps by keeping his room clean and organized — small acts that mean a lot to his mom. He’s especially inspired by the story of John in the Bible, and how he showed faith and courage even in difficult times.
Life in Egypt is full of rich traditions, good food, and time with family and friends. But for Christian families like Keroles’s, there can be added challenges. Even so, Keroles finds strength in knowing that God sees him, loves him deeply, and walks with him through every season.
Sponsorship can open doors for Keroles — giving him the support he needs to keep learning, growing, and believing in a hopeful future.
