God is love!
George is a fun-loving and kind 1st grader living with his mother in a small village near the Nile River in Egypt. Their home is surrounded by farms and open fields — a peaceful place to grow up, though life can be challenging at times. George’s mother is a widow and currently unemployed, doing her best to care for him on her own.
George loves going to school and is enjoying being in 1st grade! He likes spending time with his friends and learning new things every day. His favorite color is red, and he thinks horses are the coolest animals ever. And when it comes to food, nothing beats a big plate of pasta!
Soccer is George’s favorite way to spend his free time. He loves playing with his friends — running, kicking the ball, and scoring goals always brings a big smile to his face. At home, he helps his mom by picking up his toys — a small but important way he likes to help.
One of George’s favorite Bible stories is about Joseph. He’s inspired by Joseph’s faith and courage, especially during hard times. Being a Christian in Egypt isn’t always easy, but George finds hope knowing that God loves him and is always with him.
Sponsorship can help George continue to learn, grow, and dream — while giving him the encouragement and support he needs along the way.
