God is love!
My name is Amanda, and my family fled the Islamic State in 2014, before I was even born. We are still living as refugees in North Iraq. I live here with my parents and my brother. I really enjoy school, and my favorite subject is Math, although I find Kurdish language classes a bit challenging. My favorite color is pink, and I absolutely love cats. Pizza is my favorite food, and I enjoy playing with my friends whenever I get the chance. At home, I help my mom by collecting my toys and cleaning my room.
Living in North Iraq has been tough because we've seen a lot of war, and we are still suffering from its effects. But Iraq is special to us because we love our families, our traditions, good food, and celebrations. However, we face many problems like an unstable government, few job opportunities, and sometimes it's hard to find food and clean water. Most people here are Muslims, and only a few are Christians, which can make it unsafe to be a Christian. Despite everything, I find comfort in knowing that God loves me and will always take care of me.
