My Story

Hi! My name is Laverya. I live in Iraq with my mommy, daddy, and two brothers. We had to leave our home because it wasn’t safe. That was before I was born.

I like school, and my favorite subject is math. Kurdish is hard for me. My favorite color is pink! I love cats—they're so cute. I like chicken and playing soccer with my friends. I help my mommy by doing the dishes.

Sometimes things are hard here. We don’t always have clean water or food. But I love my family, and I know God loves me and takes care of us.
