My Story

Hi! My name is Taya. I live in Iraq with my mommy, daddy, and brother. We had to leave our home in Syria before I was born because it wasn’t safe. Now we are still refugees in Northern Iraq.

I like to swim and play with my friends. My favorite color is pink! I love dogs and pizza. I help my mommy by picking up my toys.

Sometimes life here is hard. We don’t always have enough food or water, and it’s not easy for my daddy to find work. Most people here are Muslims. We are Christians, and that can be scary. But I know God loves me and takes care of us.
