Egypt
Widow / Single Mother

Psalm 5:11
My name is Shenoda, and I live in Egypt with my widowed mother and my sister. Our home is in a village near the Nile River where there are many farms around us. My mother is currently unemployed, and we work together to help each other. Egypt is a wonderful country, and people here enjoy spending time with family, sharing good food, laughing, and gathering with friends.
School is important to me, and my favorite subject is Math, although I sometimes find Science a little difficult. My favorite color is purple, and I like birds very much. My favorite food is beef. When I have free time, I enjoy playing soccer with my friends.
At home, I try to help my mother by doing the dishes and keeping my room clean. Most people in Egypt are Muslims, and there are only a few Christians, so sometimes it is not easy to be a Christian here. I enjoy hearing stories from the Bible, and David is my hero. I am always encouraged when I learn that God loves me and will never leave me.
