My Story

My name is Karas, and I live in Egypt with my widowed mother and my sister. My mother is currently unemployed, and we live in a village with many farms near the Nile River. Even though life can be difficult sometimes, Egypt is a wonderful country. We love our families, good food, laughing, and spending time together with friends.

I enjoy going to school, and my favorite subject is Science, although I sometimes struggle with Math classes. My favorite color is green, and I really like dogs. Pizza is my favorite food, and I enjoy playing soccer whenever I can. At home, I try to help my mother by cleaning my room and doing the dishes.

Most people in Egypt are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. Even so, I enjoy hearing stories from the Bible, especially the story of Jesus. It makes me happy to learn that God loves me and will never leave me.
