My Story

My name is Mark, and I live in Egypt with my widowed mother, my brother, and my sister. My mother is currently unemployed, and we live in a village with many farms near the Nile River. Egypt is a wonderful country. We love our families, good food, laughing, and getting together with friends.

I enjoy going to school, and my favorite subject is Math, although I sometimes struggle with English classes. My favorite color is white, and I really like dogs. My favorite food is beef. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer. At home, I try to help my mother by buying and carrying the groceries.

Most people in Egypt are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. I enjoy hearing stories from the Bible, especially the story of David. It encourages me to learn that God loves me and will never leave me.
