My Story

My name is Steven, and I live in Egypt with my widowed mother, my brother, and my sister. My mother is currently unemployed, and we live in a village with many farms near the Nile River. Egypt is a wonderful country, and we enjoy spending time with our families, eating good food, laughing, and getting together with friends.

I enjoy going to school, and my favorite subject is Arabic, although I sometimes struggle with Math classes. My favorite color is red, and I really like dogs. My favorite food is chicken. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer. At home, I help my mother by cleaning my room and picking up my toys.

Most people in Egypt are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. I enjoy hearing stories from the Bible, especially the story of Jesus. It makes me happy to know that God loves me and will never leave me.
