God is love!
My name is Adam, and I live in Baghdad with my parents and my sister. My family fled the Islamic State in 2014 before I was born, and we are still living as refugees. Our country has gone through many years of war, and many families like mine are still suffering because of it.
I go to kindergarten and really enjoy learning and spending time with my friends. My favorite color is red, and I think lions are very strong and amazing animals. My favorite food is chicken. When I am not at school, I like playing with my toys and having fun.
I try to help my mother by picking up my toys and keeping my things tidy. Even though life can be hard sometimes, Iraq is still a special place. People love their families, traditions, good food, and celebrating together.
There are also many challenges here. Jobs are hard to find, the government is unstable, and sometimes families struggle to find enough food and clean water. Most people in Iraq are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. I like hearing that God loves me, and it makes me feel safe to know that He will always take care of me.
