God is love!
My name is Ninorta. My family fled Syria in 2014 because of the Islamic State, and we are still living as refugees in North Iraq. I live with my parents, my sister, and my brother. This region has seen many years of war, and many families like ours are still struggling because of it.
Even with these challenges, I love spending time with my family. My favorite color is pink, and I really like cats. I enjoy running and playing whenever I can. When I grow up, I hope to become a teacher so I can help children learn.
At home, I try to help my mom by cleaning and washing the dishes. Iraq is a special place where people care deeply about their families, traditions, good food, and celebrations.
But life here can also be hard. There are not many jobs, the government is unstable, and sometimes it is difficult to find enough food and clean water. Most people in Iraq are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. I like hearing about how much God loves me, and it comforts me to know that He will always take care of me.
