My Story

My name is Danial, and I live in North Iraq with my parents and my brother. This region has experienced many years of war, and many families are still suffering because of it. Even with these difficulties, Iraq is a special place to us. We love our families, our traditions, good food, and celebrating together whenever we can.

I enjoy going to school, and my favorite subject is Math. My favorite color is blue, and I think eagles are amazing animals. My favorite food is chicken. When I have free time, I enjoy playing football with my friends.

At home, I help my mother by cleaning my room and carrying the groceries. Life here can be challenging because there are few jobs, the government is unstable, and sometimes it is difficult to find enough food and clean water.

Most people in Iraq are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian here. I enjoy hearing Bible stories, especially the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments. It gives me hope to know that God loves me and will always take care of me.
