God is love!
My name is Waled, and I live in North Iraq with my parents and my twin brother. My family fled Syria in 2014 because of the Islamic State, before I was born, and we are still living here as refugees. This area has experienced many years of war, so life can be difficult for many families like mine.
I enjoy spending time with my family and being together at home. My favorite color is black, and I really like dogs. I like playing with my toys and playing soccer whenever I can.
I also try to help my mom by picking up my toys and keeping things clean. Even though life can be hard, Iraq is still a special place. People here love their families, traditions, good food, and celebrations.
There are many challenges here, like an unstable government, few jobs, and sometimes it is hard to find enough food and clean water. Most people in Iraq are Muslims, and there are very few Christians, so it is not always safe to be a Christian. I enjoy hearing about how God loves me, and it makes me feel safe to know that He will always take care of me.
