Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
My name is Karlos. My family and I fled the war in Sudan, and now we live as refugees in Cairo, Egypt. My father died, so it's just my mom, my sister, my brother, and me now.
I go to kindergarten, and I love spending time with my friends and playing soccer. I help my mom too, I keep my room clean all by myself. Red is my favorite color, lions are my favorite animal, and chicken is my favorite food. Green Man is my favorite superhero!
Sudan used to be part of Egypt, and it has more pyramids than Egypt does. In Khartoum, our capital city, the Blue Nile and White Nile rivers come together to make the Nile River. But the war split my country in two, and that's why my family had to leave.
Most people in Egypt are Muslim, and only a few of us are Christian. It isn't always safe to be a Christian here. Through the Child Sponsorship Program, I'm receiving loving care and biblical discipleship, and I have a safe and encouraging place to grow.
